The Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs That Influenced Me More Than They’ll Ever Know
Got Successful Internet Entrepreneurs?
The other day I sitting around playing with my blog… sounds kind of dirty when I say it like that huh? I was moving some widgets around and just thought like “Wow Dennis; you’ve come a long way“. I wish I had a picture of my first blog so I could show you just how far I’ve come.
I was a straight newbie with no direction (and still feel that way at times) and no skills at all. I still remember the day I told my co-workers I was creating DennisKnows.com and I was going to be making money online. I got that “ok; good luck with that” look. I’m sure you’ve gotten that look before.
As I look back, I think of all the successful internet entrepreneurs that had and still do have a great influence on my direction online. I still haven’t reached the level that I want to but I once heard a saying about wine.
“Fine wine takes time”
My success is something that will be great; both for me and others that are in my circle of success.
My List of Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
I’m always asked what made me want to start an online business and I always tell them about the most influential person to my business. My first unofficial mentor and she/he is:
1. Lisa

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
Lisa is the first successful internet entrepreneur that got me going. The first time I saw one of her videos, I was thinking like “wow! She makes 5x what I make in a month online working 10x less. I’m in the wrong business“. It wasn’t all about the money though. It was more about the freedom. I remember in one video she said how she was on vacation for like 2 weeks while still making money from her online business.
At the time I was working at a hospital and it sucked. Seeing someone who was making a living online was a breath of fresh air. Long story short and funny; I was new to the ebook thing and printed out her book; all 50 some pages.
Soon after reading most of it, I started my first blog, threw up an Adsense ad and made my first $0.05 from one click feeling like Leonardo DiCaprio. I thought I had conquered the world. From that point on, I was a fan.
2. Vizfact

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
My dude Vizfact is an internet marketer out of Texas that I linked up with via Skype a few years ago; back when I was just starting. I admire his focus and direction and it often rubs off on me.
See he’s crushed it before; one of the internet marketers that made a killing back in the day. He knows how easy it is to get off track and focus on the wrong things simply because he’s done it before. I remember I called him saying I was thinking of starting a social network… to compete with Facebook. It gave us a good laugh for a few minutes.
Right now he’s doing big things and I’m glad he keeps me along for the ride with advise and leadership. The one thing he does that is usually missing from people in general is he keeps it real. Doesn’t tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear. You need as many people like that in your life as you can get.
3. Yaro Starak

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
If you don’t know Yaro Starak, you have to do your homework. This is one of the most influential bloggers in the business and has taken being successful as an internet entrepreneur to another level. I remember my first time on his blog; I was simply amazed at how it looked like a fully functional business.
It wasn’t the ability to rake in huge profits from blogging and his proof he was doing it, that attracted me. It was his freedom; his ability to travel where he wanted, when he wanted.
He recently decided to slow down in blogging due to wanting to try his hand at another passion and sadly had a family tragedy soon after.
What really stuck out with all that was him being able to spend all the time that was required with his mother while she was recovering in the hospital. That’s what entrepreneurship is all about. Spending time with those that really matter. That’s why I go so hard to secure my future so I can have all the time I need to spend with my loved ones.
4. Preston Ely

WakeUpWealthy.com | PrestonEly.com
Many may not know Preston Ely because he’s in one particular niche but this dude is crushing it. He created one of the most influential products in real estate investing and I don’t see him stopping anytime soon.
After crushing it in real estate, he created one of the most inspirational courses known to man. It was called “The Red Pill” but he later renamed it Wakeup Wealthy. This program is all about going through the mental and physical transformations needed in order to be truly successful; I don’t know if you get it but it means wealthy in the sense of happiness.
He lives the 4-Hour-work-week life to the T which is why he’s an inspiration to me. Aside from his success on and offline, he’s a really cool dude that just happens to be a straight beast at internet marketing. I study everything he does so I can stay on top of what’s hot with internet marketing.
5. Stickboy aka Nathan Jurewicz

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
A friend of Preston; also from Tampa and he’s also huge in the real estate investing world. After realizing how much more money is available in sailing information, he decided to do internet marketing full-time.
This guy is a marketing genius and studying him, I learned how to make a killer sales video. He’s definitely one to follow in the coming years as internet marketing will reach new levels.
Aside from the internet marketing, Nathan has some of the funniest Facebook posts I’ve seen in a while.
6. Frank Kern

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
This guy needs no introduction. The stringy haired, surfer dude from Cali that just happens to be the highest paid internet marketer (his words) in the biz. From the first video I saw of this guy, I knew I had stumbled on a winner.
He spread out $20,000 on a table which is the greatest form of NLP I’ve personally witnessed with my eyes. I and I’m sure, millions of others, sat there and watched that entire video.
From his emails, to his sales letters to his videos and webinars; you can learn tons from this guy if you just pay attention as an internet marketer and not as a buyer. The minute you fall into his web of sticky NLP and his No BS personality, you’ll be waiting for that “Add to Cart” button to pop up.
7. Michael Dunlop

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
Michael has taken blogging to new heights. He is an inspiration to me because he is so young. I love to see young guys like myself making huge moves. It gives me a sense of direction.
Aside from having a mountain of pilar articles (brought to my knowledge by Yaro), he has one of the most talked about products in the blogging/internet marketing world. That is Popup Domination. It’s a pretty decent product and has made internet marketing a lot easier. I actually have to write a review on this product.
I always check out his blog and find myself immersed in some very good content that will help take my internet business to the next level. I’m actually working on something I got from his blog this morning.
8. Mitz
My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
Just like many bloggers, Mitz is very down to earth. She is definitely a breath of fresh air to the blogging world simply because she is one of those people who aims to please and leaves the BS at the front door.
Her blog was the 2nd blog I started writing guest blog posts for and boy did it pay off. She has built a well deserved following and provides tons of content for both newbies and seasoned bloggers and internet marketers.
What really got me about Mitz that shows she is not like most is when I saw a message where she’s telling people not to sign up to her email list for anything free. She’s not giving anything out free. She let them know that her list was only for those that really want to learn to make a living online.
While most internet marketers (including me until I read her post) are fighting tooth and nail to get every single person they can get, signed up to their list, she is turning them down. It doesn’t get much more real than that.
You can check out my first post on how to brand yourself on the internet.
9. Andy Baily

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
This guy has single-handedly changed blogging forever. Maybe he has a team but you catch my drift. When I first installed the CommentLuv plugin (which is one of my top WordPress plugins), I had no clue what I was becoming a part of.
This plugin not only rewards commenters with a backlink; it leaves a direct link back to 1 of your last 10 blog posts. If you know how to title your blog posts right, visitors will be enticed to check your blog out.
His blog, ComLuv.com, was the first blog I started guest posting on so there is a great deal of respect for him and what he does. Check out my guest posts here.
Coolest thing about Andy is he’s not hard to get in touch with. I remember there was a problem with one of his plugins and I hit him up on Twitter. Hit me back in a few minutes letting me know was already on it.
10. Justin Goff

My Top 10 Successful Internet Entrepreneurs
I just recently ran into Justin on the web after signing on as an affiliate. Unlike most product owners, he has a site setup to basically teach you how to become a super-affiliate. If not a super-affiliate, then he teaches you how to be a better internet marketer.
He has podcast interviews with some of the top affiliates and internet marketers in the business that you’ve never heard of (or I haven’t) giving out more info than I’ve heard in a while. I now wake up and listen to a podcast every morning to get my internet marketing juices flowing.
Real cool down to earth guy who I immediately added on Facebook after hearing one of his podcasts. I was planning to do this article for a while but actually got the push I needed after listening to one of Justin’s podcasts.
That’s my list of internet entrepreneurs that influenced me…
Now I could have easily made this list over 30 or 40 people because there are plenty of internet marketers and bloggers out there. Darren Rowse and Bryan Clark are probably the biggest bloggers in the world. I didn’t put them on here because I’ve never really been too active on their blogs.
I know they have a lot of value to give but I would be lying if I said they were influential in my internet business.
I wanted to list everyone, from the beginning up until recently that really got me going in the right direction.
I’m sure you have some bloggers you’ve followed or you know some of these. Are there some internet entrepreneurs that really influenced your internet success? Please list them because I would love to follow them.
I know there are plenty of successful internet entrepreneurs that are under the radar and crushing it like nobody’s business. I would love to hear about them.
I want to thank you for reading. Please comment and share… I’ll show you some love if you do. Some CommentLuv. ![]()

Dennis,
I linked to your site from another. Your “About Me” is so interesting. I’m sure your mother was a wonderful lady.
I too listen to some of Lisa’s videos for good info and inspiration. I only have a few blogs (have not earned any money per Adsense), for over a year now. The only one with any trace of traffic is fashion-related. The ones I enjoy most are travel-related. With limited income, can’t market my blogs as I should just yet. Much continued success to you.

Hi J.. Yea Adsense is a process. Truthfully, I shoot a crazy amount of videos and make more money from clicks on my videos on YouTube with adsense than I do with my websites. just have to keep pushing..
There’s an interest for traveling if somehow you can tap into the interest of people. Who doesn’t love to travel? You could easily build a following on Facebook then direct them back to your blog..
Wish you much success also
