My Top 5 Places To Blog & Work From My Laptop (This Is The Life)

Places To Work From a Laptop

Never in a  million years did I think I’d one day, be writing and getting paid for it. Me, a college dropout that barely graduated from high school.

We were always taught that in order to get paid to write, we would have to go to school for journalism. Places To Work From a Laptop

Well college wasn’t for me and I see that more and more now as time creeps on. Places To Work From a Laptop

I’m here doing something that anyone can do. I’m not special; I just took action, gained knowledge and now I take me, my knowledge and my laptop or iPad, to the nearest spot with Wi-Fi and get to work.

In this post,  I want to give my top 5 spots that I like to work from with just my laptop, a cell phone and sometimes my iPad and why they are beneficial to my blogging/entrepreneurial success. Places To Work From a Laptop

Starbucks

Places To Work From a LaptopThis is my overall favorite place to work. I’ve never drank a sip of coffee because I refuse to put that in my body. Places To Work From a Laptop

I like to go to Starbucks because they have free wi-fi and you can network with some great business minded people.

I suggest if you have never been before, try it out. Order a fruit passion sweetened ice tea and find you a good seat. Places To Work From a Laptop

Barnes & Nobles

Another great place that also has Starbucks inside. Only thing that sucks is they won’t allow you to Starbucks gift cards; because of some corporate stuff. Places To Work From a Laptop

The best feature about Barnes & Nobles is they have millions of books for you to read if you like to read.

You should be taking breaks at least ever 90 minutes. With books everywhere, you should have no problem finding something to occupy your time while you take a break. I suggest buying a book every now and again because  I feel guilty sometimes for using their wi-fi countless hours and then walk out without spending a dime. Places To Work From a Laptop

At Home

I usually like to get out of the house but for the days I’m there, it is very convenient. Because of my ADHD, sometimes it’s best to work from home to eliminate distractions.

I feel I come up with my best content right from the comfort of my living room. Places To Work From a Laptop

Libraries

Libraries are somewhat like Barnes & Noble with millions of books and most having Wi-Fi available. The one difference is being quit in libraries has stood the test of time. Every now and again you get some obnoxious person that apparently, hasn’t gotten the memo that libraries require silence.

If you’re in need of a quiet place to get some work done on your laptop, then I suggest you go to your local library.

It also helps that what ever you’re doing, if you need more info, you have an endless supply of free education around you (of course other than Google).

Any Where I Want To

As I’m typing this, it’s a few days after Thanksgiving and I’m out-of-town with my family. I packed up some clothes, grabbed my laptop, my cell phone and my iPad and I’m good to go. Places To Work From a Laptop

The best overall reason for blogging and having an online business is you can take your work with you wherever you go.

You can leave when you want and go back home when you want. Unfortunately, I have to pay my rent so I have to leave sooner than I really want to but it’s a great feeling not being under the constraints of working for someone else. Places To Work From a Laptop

Blogging and having an online business can be great because of the freedom. My days are made 10 times easier due to fact that I got rid of my regular computer and invested in a MacBook.

It’s funny when I walk into a Starbucks or any place of my choice. I’m looking for a good seat while others come in with their laptops and chargers looking for the nearest available electric outlet. Places To Work From a Laptop

If you’re planning on making blogging and making money online a career, I strongly suggest investing in a Macbook so that you can have a laptop that gets around 7 hours on a single charge so you can focus on creating content and not be worried about charging.

This lifestyle is like no other. Right now, the internet is BOOMING and there are numerous opportunities to profit using it.

My goal is to make money every single day one way or another and lately, I’ve been doing quite well for myself.

This all started with me taking action. Make your next move your best move. Places To Work From a Laptop

  • About Me…

Hi my name is Dennis Marshall (that's me) and I'm a full time blogger/affiliate marketer/internet marketer. I dibble and dabble in real estate also but my main focus is online. I wrote a book called "The Definition of Success and Why Yours Is Wrong" that got well over 3000 downloads in the first couple months (that's freakin' awesome). I'm always looking for new ways to crush it online and love to connect with like minded people.

I now go by Dennis the Blogging Menace (after Google Panda killed SEO) and you can find me on Twitter, Facebook and Google+
