How To Create Amazing Content With Video and Audio (w/ $50 Bonus)
You want amazing content?
Whether you want to believe it or not, blogging is more than getting checks in the mail for selling affiliate products and going from a nerd to a total rock star.
Depending on what your blog is based on, it needs to provide one of 2 things in every post. If you’re doing a post on teaching others how to do something (tutorial of some sort), it needs to provide them with great quality info on doing just that.
If your blog happens to be about you (you’re building or have built a brand), then you need to let your personality come out like sweat through your pores after an action packed workout
This post is to give you different tools and methods for creating amazing content for your visitors to your blog. They are not in any particular order; I just put listed them as I was going.
Using Camtasia & Screenflow For Onscreen Recordings
These are two tools that I personally couldn’t live without. They allow you to record your computer screen to do tutorials or to just show your viewers a “peak over your shoulder” as many of us internet marketers like to say.
Be reminded that in the times we live in, people are wanting to read less and less so if a picture is worth a 1000 words then a video must be worth 10,000.
Go here if you need ScreenFlow
These tools provide an excellent way to connect with your visitors. If not for video tutorials, I don’t think I would be where I’m at today without the wealth of YouTube videos that are available online.
It can be tricky learning to use these programs. Luckily there are programs like this to aid you in creating killer camtasia videos.
Shooting Amazing Content Videos
If you are going to be recording yourself doing a lot of talking in front of the screen, it’s very important that you have a great camera. A good camera is one that shows you at your best every time you press that red button to record.
For all of my recording not directly in front of a computer screen, I use a Flip UltraHD Video Camera. This baby records video at 1080p which is perfect for creating stunning video for your subscribers. I use a regular tri-pod that adjusts to above my height so I can create some great front facing video.
If you are like me and like to take videos on the fly from your laptop, you’ll definitely need a laptop webcam. If you want the absolute best video quality from a webcam on your laptop, I strongly suggest getting a Apple MacBook
.
It’s great for making videos and has thee best software in the industry for bringing your creative thoughts and dreams to reality.
Along with the above suggestions, you’re going to need great lighting. A regular lamp from a neighborhood store will do.
Getting Amazing Sound Quality
You can have the best video ever but if the sound isn’t good, then you take a chance on losing the attention of some viewers. One technique that I learned from a pro internet marketer is to flip a cushioned chair over on it’s back, place your laptop inside and record that way.
The couch will absorb your voice making it sound clearer and it will also block out any outside noise. The idea is to have cushions around you and the laptop to improve sound quality.
While this is great, I’m not always feeling like flipping over my couch to record a video; especially if you do a lot. For most of my videos, I use a Samsung Headset w/Mic. It’s just a regular headset for cell phones.
It’s inexpensive but it gets the job done. I love it because it’s very high quality and compact at the same time allowing me to put it in my pocket.
If you’re looking for top of the line recording quality, I suggest the Snowball USB Mic by Blue Microphones. A friend of mines brought one out for our interview and I must say; the sound quality is stunning.
Non-Electronic Methods That Get Results
1) Know your audience; who you’re delivering content to– Know who are you talking to; keep your audience in mind with every point you make.
2) Connect with and engage with them right away – One technique is to put your best point up front. Lead with the meat! All the supporting points can come later. A trick to getting viewers to watch the video in its entirety, let them know that the video is short and at the end, you will “unleash” you secret tip. Entices the reader to
3) Always Smile – You need to be energetic. Ask good questions to start off. Also, make sure you SMILE before you get the camera rolling, and keep smiling as the camera is shooting.
Don’t worry about looking a little goofy because you’re smiling too much. Humans have a tendency to do to mirror neurons to mimic what they see. If they see you as happy, they may be happy and enthusiastic themselves. It doesn’t hurt to try this.
4) Practice, practice, practice – Creating video content isn’t easy, so work at it. Make time to do things, and of course…
5) Pursue progress over perfection. Your video or audio whatever could always be better; but if you work that hard at it, it will never be finished. So PUBLISH and on to record your next video.
Easy Video Player… You’ll like!
Another tool I use to dominate the video marketing area of my business is Easy Video Player. This is one I’ve kept quit on but I’ve been using it for close to a year and I love it.
It’s great for branding your business as it allows you to add water marks and custom play images in your videos. My friend actually talked me into using it after he said he didn’t want the YouTube logo in the bottom right corner as it made the video look cheap; his words not mine. LOL
Another great feature, which I’m actually using below is it allows you to take any YouTube video and with the link, run it through Easy Video Player. This takes away all annotations and that pesky link back to the original video that pops up when you hover over the top of it. This could potentially hurt sales.
The video below, I got from another YouTube account that was trying to market this product. I can now use it for my own purposes; and best of all it’s still being hosted by YouTube. When someone shares this video (like you should do to test it out), it will bring anyone that clicks the link right back to the original page (this page; or your page).
Test it out for yourself…
*I have a bonus if you buy it through my link, so stay tuned until the end.*
In Conclusion
You can create a blog but to create a following, you have to pump out some amazing content. Content is king and video is starting to dominate the internet right now.
We are in a time when more and more internet surfers are getting lazy and don’t want to read. Videos are truly becoming a dominate force.
The bloggers taking advantage of this are taking that next step to rise to the top. I am and you should be also.
I have shown you all the necessary steps to taking your blog to the next level with amazing content; from video to audio. Everything I mentioned is an investment in your business (and a tax write-off).
Hope you found this post informative. If you have any question or tips to add, feel free to comment. Please share this content and make sure you add iBlog4Dollars con Twitter and like iBlog4dollars on Facebook.
