My Top 3 WordPress Themes & How To Find A Good Theme
This is truly something I think every new blogger goes through; especially in the beginning.
Finding that perfect theme for your site is like picking that amazing outfit for the first day of school. The only difference is your theme will aid in the success or failure of your blog and ultimately, you making any money.
From the beginning to now, I must have gone through hundreds of themes. My buddy Chris has used 2 themes with his blog and sorta laughs at me when I say I’m thinking about changing my theme.
He’s not as tech savvy as I am so he finds something that works and sticks with it. That reminds me; I have a huge tip but I want to wait to fill you in on this because there are other things I want to cover first.
Choosing A Good Theme
First off, you have to know what your niche is. There are themes for EVERYTHING. If you want a photo blog to show off your photography, there are themes that will work out perfectly.
Want to talk about politics; trust me. There’s a theme that will have your site looking professional and all “politicky” in no time. From time to time I create words so bare with me.
My Top 3 Themes
After going through hundreds of themes, I’m pretty much set on which themes I will use for when I startup new blogs. This keeps everything simple. I’ll talk a little about this later.
Lifestyle Theme
I love this theme because it is so welcoming. The color scheme just screams TRANQUILITY. I used it for a fitness and weight loss blog I built.
It comes standard with a content slider but the best feature I like is it allows you to showcase up to 3 categories with pictures because all know pictures are worth a thousand words.
Only thing is it doesn’t do too much for you when it comes to ads. It has sidebar widgets where you can place ads in but if you want more ad exposure, you’ll have to hire someone to do some PHP work or roll up your imaginary sleeves and get to work.

HeatMap Theme
Heatmap Theme is by far the best theme if you aren’t tech savvy and want a theme that’s ad ready out the box (figure of speech). It allows you to customize your blog’s look and at the same time, monetize it so you can immediately start making money.
Best thing about it, ad spaces are located in the best converting areas so visitors will see your ads. Placing ads is as simple as copy and paste and cha ching!

Optimize Press
This is by far the BEST THEME I’ve ever used. After you learn your way around this baby, it’ll have you running through new pages like my old 93 Buick runs through gas.
Best feature overall is that it allows you to create squeeze pages, sales pages and product launch pages on the fly. All you have to do is provide the content and it’s pretty much plug and play.
Optimize Press

Besides over 30 separate templates for page designs, it’s still an amazing theme for a blog. For instance, look at my blog. Of course I’ve changes some things in the PHP coding but it’s still a nice blog because it gives you different options to customize your blog.

I Save The Best For Last
Make sure you pick a good theme that your comfy with working and suits your needs with your website. It’s not a good practice to constantly change themes because your visitors may be used to the way your site is set up and if you keep changing it around, their going to say screw your site and start looking for another.
Reason my buddy wasn’t to big on changing his site around was because he was and is making money with it.
